HentieSA (Pty) Ltd was established in 2024 to continue the legacy of Eclipse (Pty) Ltd. Following operational challenges experienced by the predecessor company, a strategic decision was subsequently made to transfer the manufacturing moulds to new management and establish a new company structure to safeguard the future of the brand and ensure continued availability to the market.
However, during market investigations, particularly regarding exports to the USA, it became evident that the brand name “Eclipse” was under threat. This was further complicated when a yacht company in the USA also registered the Eclipse brand, leading to potential legal conflicts and brand confusion.
To retain brand integrity, the company decided to rebrand, continuing the construction and development of vessels using the existing moulds under the new brand identity, Orcat Marine.
The success of Orcat Marine has paved the way for key collaborations with industry-leading brands. Orcat Marine has access to supply and professionally fit premium outboard motors from Mercury, Yamaha, and Suzuki, with Tohatsu being introduced soon, ensuring top-quality performance for our clients. Additionally, Orcat Marine can provide advanced marine electronics and navigation solutions from trusted brands such as Garmin, Raymarine, and Lowrance.
Orcat Marine offers a range of four hull lengths, consisting of 4.8m (16ft), 5.8m (19ft), 6.8m (23ft), and 9m (30ft) and the convenience of seven different top selections to collectively create eight unique models to choose from.
